Storyboard

Once we decided that we were going to do a small segment (the opening) to Counting Crow's She don't want no one near, to which we have a radio version, we began to become up with a narrative and idea for live performance immediately.

We decided to write down the lyrics so we would have easy access to the lyrics if our actor forgot and so that we could sync up. To the left side of the page is the beginning of the story boards.

The storyboard only runs up to 50 seconds in total, yet idealistically we could extend the narrative further or performance shots if we get enough footage and are prepared to extent links between the lyrics and narrative.

From this storyboard, we decided for the narrative to have a young woman walking around the school alone or isolated, as the lyrics are typically 'she don't want no one near' which is symbolised in the means of video and audio colleration which are conventional methods; not only this but we took into consideration motion in the shots for live performance and narrative and decided that we would have a few dolly/track shots as well as taking consideration what types of shots we would first have for the live performance shots - such as focusing on the lead singer first and referring back to narrative before introducing more of the band to establish that sense of iconography.
